USTASC is a collective of former military, police, corrections, and security personnel who provide armed and unarmed security protection services to businesses, residential, commercial, cannabis industry, home owners associations, and private citizens. We provide everything from firearms training, home invasion prevention, and business active shooter prevention to armed and unarmed security personnel, security consulting, private detective services, VIP and event security, and much more.

We haven't changed in that our commitment to our clients and the public is still that of professionalism, non bias, and honor. Although providing security related services during turbulent times can be challenging, USTASC meets the challenge head on with our professional staff and ethics. USTASC is a non-political entity and does not hold any political position or outlook related to current events. Our job is to provide security and commitment continues to be our clients, the citizenry and our staff.

The Beginning

USTASC began in 2012 when Evan Avnet, the CEO and Chief of Operations, saw a complete lack of competent firearms instructors on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He teamed up with Gander Mountain, at the time a major retail chain for outdoor equipment and firearms, to teach the new Maryland Handgun Qualification license requirement. Gander Mountain solely used USTASC on the Eastern Shore. During this time, Evan Avnet, was still a deputy sheriff with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.

Expansion

In 2014 Evan Avnet decided to leave the Sheriff's Office and run his business full time. USTASC opened it's first office and provided beginner and advanced firearms training to citizens. About the same time, Evan Avnet registered his company with the Maryland State Police licensing division to provide security guard and private detective services.
