There are two sides to this - as someone who has paid for Zillow leads in the past (luckily, no longer) my first instinct is to feel like they are "biting the hand that feeds them", both with getting in to RE and Lending. That being said, they clearly see that this technology is to be the way of the future; they have obligations to their investors to continue to be innovative in making money and growing. It seems to me they are looking at long-term strategies, even if the short-term strategy will cause them back-lash from their current customers. In reality, they are progressing like any other business.
