About Us

Dr. Amy Waldron provides EMDR, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and psychotherapy for those feeling stuck in managing their anxiety, recent trauma, or difficult experiences from the past. Dr. Waldron works best with highly sensitive people (HSPs) who refer to themselves as overthinkers, and those struggling with social anxiety or imposter syndrome. With a focus on high performers and creatives, Dr. Waldron provides both in-person and virtual sessions throughout California, North Carolina, and Florida for clients who are ready to finally get to the root of what’s keeping them stuck.

How We Got Started

Aside from being a licensed marriage and family therapist and an art therapist, I’m also an ultrarunner, an outdoor adventurer, and an artist. I’ve lived and worked in several areas throughout the east and west coasts before settling in San Francisco.

It wasn’t until I was in my thirties, after taking on ultramarathons and finding a community of highly active folks who tend to be achievement-oriented, that I began to realize how easy it can be to channel our energy into competitive feats and productivity-driven work cultures to escape early traumas, heartbreak and loss, and difficult relationships with our bodies and ourselves. My clients will undoubtedly have experiences that are different than mine but I’ve been through it, and I get it.
