I am well-trained and highly skilled. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and one in Family Law. I am a trained mediator and somatic psychotherapist. I received training in ADHD treatment, trauma treatment, and couples therapy.
I have experience working with couples and families in various settings. I was a Child Custody Recommending Counselor (Child Custody Mediator) for the family court and a couples therapist at the SF Marriage and Couples Center.
I am an avid learner and constantly integrating new modalities. Eye Movement Desensitizing Reprocessing for Trauma Tx, Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD and Anxiety Tx, Somatic Internal Family System for CPTSD, Developmental Model for Couples Therapy, System-Center Therapy for Couples, families, and groups.
I am passionate about the population I work with. I believe by improving the dynamics with the couple, I can impact the growing environment of the children in the family. When I repair the attachment bond between parent and child, I am fostering a stronger security base for the child to grow into a healthy young adult.
I worked as a court-appointed mediator, helping separated couples to find solutions to their conflicted child custody issues. Then the outbreak of the pandemic forced me, like many others, to reassess my priorities and establish a better work-life balance.
Understanding the unique needs of my clients, I began building my practice with a focus on accessibility and convenience. How could I make couples therapy sessions easier for those with different work schedules? How could I provide better access to marital counseling for parents? How could I alleviate children's anxiety during reunification therapy? These questions fueled my drive to assist my clients in every possible way, from streamlining insurance reimbursement to embracing technological solutions.
