How We Got Started

Katie worked for 15 years in commercial real estate finance at a community bank when her episodic migraine attacks became a chronic, everyday occurrence.

Unable to return to her career, she found purpose in her pain through writing and began writing for Migraine.com in 2013. She soon found ways to advocate for others with headache diseases and says that “advocating helped me reclaim any power migraine had stolen from me.”
