After being in business for 30 + years I find that the merchant service providers and sellers are of the lowest caliber businesses and people that Ive ever had to deal with . They will tell you anything to get the account. They always want to see your statement so that can " beat your current deal " . They never walk through the door with their best offer in hand. Either a company is selling merchant service, or theyre selling POS systems . Merchant service companies/resellers have the same comparable lack of integrity with a POS systems as they do with the merchant service they offer. My POS system is too integral to my business to be offered as a loss leader , or a carrot to get me to buy the much less important merchant service.
