What is your preference when it comes to window shades: Manual, battery powered or motorized roller shades?

Motorized if possible. Battery operated shades are ok if electrical is not available. However, the batteries need to be changed frequently.

dear Susie thank you for your reply, I want to mention that Battery operated shades Today no need to change the batteries, there are 2 Battery motors- a- powerful for small windows B- powerful for large windows up to 180" wide x 108" high depending on the weight of the fabric, you can charge these motors with a charger like an iphone one a year! or use a solar strip panel that keep the motor charge only need 20 minutes of light a day! and client does need to worry about it.
