Starting in Pennsylvania, I was working in a family business when one of our tenants (an electrician) came to me and said “Your mother told me that you’re an artist. Have you ever created a logo?” I sand “No.” But he insisted so I tried my hand. Not knowing anything about the graphic design industry, my first logo won two awards. I was inspired. The rest is history, as I’ve been in this industry for 46 years as a designer and over 35 years as a brand strategist having worked with many Fortune companies and being a start-up advisor in the importance of brand. Longing to leave the area I grew up in (as most of us do), I then moved Scottsdale, setting up a studio in downtown. But a bad partnership forced a new business direction and expansion. After 13 years, a move to Boulder, CO for 30 years, and now back in The Valley soaking up the wonderful weather from October to May. We won’t discuss summer. LOL
