Blue Waters Cottage has a million dollar view of the ocean! Our beautiful, romantic cottage is located between picturesque Davis Bay and the town of Sechelt, and has a fully equipped large kitchen, a romantic bedroom with a fabulous queen bed and luxurious linens overlooking ocean view …. What a way to wake up! The outdoor hot tub faces the ocean and takes full advantage of our spectacular sunsets.
How We Got Started
We were retiring and purchased the property with an old cottage on it. The views were spectacular and the floor plan of the cottage was lovely, so we decided to completely renovate it and open it up to tourists coming to the Coast. We have now had people from many places in Europe, the Orient, the US, and all parts of Canada

Of course pictures should be on all websites -- a picture is worth a thousand words. But they must be high quality and appropriate to the topic at hand. Pictures can be the difference between visitors' spending time on your website, or just quickly flitting by.

It entirely depends on the website's topic. If it is music-related, then of course use appropriate music. But I would never use it on my own website about my own cottage vacation rental. I find it very intrusive unless music is related to the topic at hand. I would not want people who visit my...

I would not want people who visit my website to have to find the "Turn music off" button if they found it as distracting as I do.
Check out people in the area of interest on Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, etc. Also, check with your local Tourist Information centre for those that are close by.

Of course you should promote your competitors. In our business as accommodation providers, we often do not have any openings. If we get inquiries for the dates we are full, we always pass along the names of other accommodations to help the guests. This started with the Sunshine Coast B&B Assn,...

Of course you should promote your competitors. In our business as accommodation providers, we often do not have any openings. If we get inquiries for the dates we are full, we always pass along the names of other accommodations to help the guests. This started with the Sunshine Coast B&B Assn, which has since closed. We looked at each other as 'partners' rather than 'competitors'. This makes an impression on the guests, who then go home and tell others about how lovely the people on the Coast are. It means better growth and a more stable industry for everyone on the Sunshine Coast.
We have a cottage Vacation rental here on the Sunshine Coast of BC in Canada. There are many in this area.
