About Us

Jerry Fletcher, CEO of Z-axis Marketing, is a business development expert. He has:
Raised over $500,000 in private funding for a start up in just 17 days
Increased first quarter sales of a consulting firm by over $1.2 Million with a single suggestion
Built leads by 1200% with a simple headline change on Linked In
Introduced over 207 new products and services... successfully.

He founded Z-axis Marketing, Inc in 1990 after leaving his CEO slot in a Portland, OR ad agency. In addition, he has become a sought-after international professional speaker, and is one of the few experts in both on and off line marketing

His strategic marketing approach can help you stand out from the crowd.

Jerry made his mark birthing new high-tech companies in garages, counseling the mighty in their board-rooms, and working with successful companies of all sizes in conference rooms and kitchens to “take it up another notch.”

He provides Start-ups, Professional Practices and Small to Mid-sized companies a unique skill set.

His knowledge of contact management systems, referral based marketing and the complexities of internet marketing blended with years as the CEO of an ad agency and PR firm plus experience as the COO of a world class Direct Marketing firm make him one of a very few experts in both on and off-line marketing.

His counsel grows the trust to build businesses, careers and lives of joy ... on and off-line.

And, as he always says, “Trust is the shortcut to Brand.”

How We Got Started

When my board and I agreed to disagree I decided to hang out my independent consulting shingle. I've never looked back. At the end of 2024 I relocated to Washington, DC to be closer to my daughter.

The meetings business will shift, I believe, to more regional (smaller) gatherings backed up by virtual meetings that incorporate video for the key elements of keynotes and breakouts delivered before the virtual portion. This will require superb speakers to be as effective as they are in person. That being said, I'm currently scheduled to keynote for a small event in Los Angeles in July and two larger events in November. If the live portions of any of them are cancelled I will negotiate presenting virtually.

My speaking business is down due to closure or deferral of events in May and June, I still have keynotes scheduled in July and November. Due to advising meeting planners about how I handle virtual meetings and will  bring some of the same tactics to live presentations after the "All clear" I'm getting interest for keynotes in September and October.

If you mean a leads group where each participant is supposed to provide a number of leads for the others in the group each time, the assumption is that the receiver will live up to their promises. That may not be true but you'll know fairly quickly. Digital or social media are a different animal. I do not refer people I have not engaged with either in their professional capacity or in a personal meeting. All the requests for recommendations are just attempts to accomplish what face to face networking is much better at. I operate on an international basis. 99% of the requests I get on this platform are from the local area for providers I don't use and would be unlikely to work with. (I do Consultant Marketing for elite independent professionals)

VCs want to profit from scaling businesses and taking them public. If that is not on your agenda, don't expect to get on theirs. JLF
