Blue Door Studio is an art school owned and directed by Claudia Venditto, (RISD M.AT., 95), in Smithfield and North Kingstown. We are an art school offering sequentially based art lessons in drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art to students Ages 4 thru to Adult. We also help high school students prepare art portfolios for college acceptances such as RISD, Brown University, RIC, PC, Tampa University, Monserrat, etc. Our high school students are recognized for their skill in National and Regional Art competitions.
Blue Door Studio also offers birthday parties and additional art events such as our well known Open Studio Hours: Paint Pottery, Paint A Canvas, Craft Counter and Wheel Throwing. Our well received half day and full day summer camps are thematic and fun filled with ceramics included! We have highly trained art educators / instructors and Claudia Venditto has 25+ yrs of art teaching experience in both public school and private business. At her encouragement, I started assistant teaching (and later teaching my own class) at the studio in 2015. Because of her support and expertise as a teacher and mentor, I learned essential leadership, communication, and artistic skills.
