Ask yourself some important questions first and foremost. Why would you go to your coffee shop as opposed to the one down the road? If you don't know the answer why would you expect a customer to? What does my business contribute to the community it serves or wants to serve coffee too? You are a local small business, so what do you do to help your community? If you do things in the community, who knows you do these things? How do you get the word out to others in the community? Social media? or do you simply rely on what others say about you when you contribute to an event? Time to get proactive and promote what you do. Of course that is after you have figured out if you really know the answer to the first question. Need more pointers? I specialize in local organizations and events and giving them exposure through social media, etc. I'd be happy to help if I can and my rates are more than reasonable as I realize that small businesses are on a limited budget...
