About Us

I work with stressed out professional moms who want the great marriage, the happy family, and rockin' career but who struggle with trying to control everything and please everyone. I help moms get to the "root causes" of their stress and overwhelm, teach them concrete tools to alleviate and navigate their pain, so they finally feel relief and have energy. Then, they can address any problems in their family relationships, carve out time for their passions, careers, and actually enjoy life. Check out my free Rapid Stress Reliever or book a FREE Discovery Session at www.becomingawake.com

How We Got Started

In 2007, I had a Masters in Social Work from Columbia, a beautiful family and lived in a wonderful town. However, my life hit a huge wall where I felt like a failure, a fraud, unhappy and going nowhere. While trying to grow a home business with three little children in tow, I finally reached out to a business coach and took a step back from everything I knew to go deep inside myself and discover what had been bringing me to this stuck place. Using so many of the strategies I learned from him (meditation, belief analysis and revision, self-care), I also started doing research into Eastern Philosophy, mindfulness, energy work, channeling and began a new business working with mothers, just like me, who were miserable. Over the years of study and self-discovery, I realized that so much of what needs to be addressed is our own lack of compassion for others and ourselves. Over the last few years, I have made compassion, acceptance, and integration the foundation of my offerings.

I've been sharing posts based on my knowledge in self-growth, however, I keep getting blocked because my messages are "too similar" to another post I put up.  Not sure what to do there. If you have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Great tips!  I never thought of asking someone to be on my mailing list.  I love that it's about helping each other. (more) Great tips!  I never thought of asking someone to be on my mailing list.  I love that it's about helping each other.

I don't have a policy other than respecting the personal decisions people make about their own health and body.  I feel confident in my own health so I don't feel the need to ask.  However, I also have respect for those who are afraid or feel the need to know for their own health.   (more) I don't have a policy other than respecting the personal decisions people make about their own health and body.  I feel confident in my own health so I don't feel the need to ask.  However, I also have respect for those who are afraid or feel the need to know for their own health.

Great question. I would guess that "Meet Up" would be a good start. Also, just talking about it online and then throwing out a PM to a group. (more) Great question. I would guess that "Meet Up" would be a good start. Also, just talking about it online and then throwing out a PM to a group.
