What Are Some of the Benefits of Mentoring to the One Doing the Mentoring (The Mentor)?

I learned a great deal about building productive and respectful relationships, understanding boundaries and trust. I also learned how to help others without pushing my own agenda in their lives. Along with coaching, I have learned how to allow people to own their success and not try to take credit.
This has made me a better friend, colleague and parent. There is no ruler big enough to measure the value of that. Besides, as a mentoring relationship matures it becomes quite reciprocal.
