How did you become a new bookkeeper?
Answered by:
I have been a W2 bookkeeper for many, many years. In 2012, I was laid off due to a family illness and brother's are not FMLA. I coudn't find a job because I didn't have a degree. I went back to school at 52 years old and acquired my Associates in Accounting/Finance. Since 1994, I have been working as a freelance bookkeeper side by side with a CPA, and still carried W2 employment. I did so because at that time, I needed steady income and growing the business was too slow. I now am able to grow my business. I am awaiting the final revisions of my website and will be good to go. So, if you need a freelance bookkeeper, I am your gal. LOL Once I acquire enough clients, plan is to dump the W2 employment and build my business. Any help would greatly appreciated
