We offer layaway with no interest charges; no late fees; no fees for a missed payment. While we say four to six months, in actuality sometimes it takes longer. We depend on our clients being anxious to pay off their items so they can receive them. We allow orders to be cancelled but all money paid can only be used as a credit towards another purchase in my shop. NO cash refunds from layaway purchases.
This has worked well for us. Clients are usually appreciative and become returning clients from then on. A win-win program.
