Our company, Neo Medical, has been operating as an essential business on a continuous basis during this crisis. We have had no occurrences of COVID-19 in any of our employees or any of our employees’ families. Below is a simple and effective procedure to keep your workers safe as we re-start our Northern Nevada Economy.

Neo Medical’s Safety Precautions and Procedures for COVID-19:

  • Employees are washing hands immediately at any time leave and then entering the building by going to a sink in the lunch-room or using a hand sanitizer that is available at the front entrance.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided in numerous locations throughout the office and work areas. Hand sanitizer and handwashing is practiced numerous times throughout the day.
  • Employees are maintaining a 6 ft. distance between co-workers during the workday, as much as possible.
  • Employees are practicing social distancing during breaks and lunches and we stagger lunchtimes for production and office workers.
  • The office area (including frequently touched areas) is cleaned twice a week using 99% IPA spray. Surfaces are sprayed or wiped and left to dry on their own.
  • During work meetings, employees try to maintain a 6 ft. separation and wear a mask. We only meet at one conference table that is cleaned prior to each meeting.
  • No handshakes are permitted at this time.
  • Visitors must wear masks and gloves when entering the building (with a notification sign posted at the entrance and with supplies provided). If visitors come in with gloves on they must use hand sanitizer on their gloves. If they wear our gloves and mask they can take them with them or dispose of in a provided basket.
  • Any employee who feels ill will not come to work and be tested accordingly. Their paycheck will not be interrupted. We do not do temperature checking as many people are asymptomatic with this illness.

Important Points:

  • Have a minimum of 70% alcohol-based sanitizer. Rub your hands vigorously when using hand sanitizer and leave wet for 15–20 seconds. If you wear gloves treat them as your hands use sanitizer on them before removal. Then wash or sanitize your hands.
  • Mask and gloves are worn because they are PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) not OPPE (Other Persons Protective Equipment).
  • If you take a mask off with your hands use hand sanitizer after touching your mask.
  • Remember to clean your cloth mask daily, just like brushing your teeth. Hand washes and dry in a hot dryer.

If we don’t relax these procedures until next spring we very well may see this whole thing disappear just like SARS. Recent scientific studies are indicating widespread infection has already taken place. We should have more data by summer. An added benefit would be to use these procedures during Flu and Cold seasons. None of our employees have had even so much as a cold, let alone the COVID-19 since we implemented these policies.

Stay safe Northern Nevada we can win this war!
