What makes my therapeutic style distinct is that I do not provide general, supportive therapy. My intent is to be more than just someone to vent to. I want to encourage people to live more fully and courageously based on their individual goals, priorities, and values.
As a cognitive behavioral psychologist I have been trained to provide specific tools for increasing motivation, identifying long-held negative beliefs that hold us back, and changing maladaptive behaviors that can keep us stuck.
I also have a very collaborative and open style. Together, we come up with specific goals for "pushing" into anxiety, moving forward even when we're depressed, and having the courage to not lose ourselves in relationships.
I had have recently moved from the Wenatchee area where I enjoyed a very busy and rewarding private practice for the past ten years.
I also worked at Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth one day a week in order to support the medical staff and provide a multidisciplinary treatment approach to patient care.
