Couldn't agree with you! Some peoples perception of marketing / brand exposure is so old school.
This isn't an idea game - This is a results game! A research game! A long term commitment brand growth system!
No campaign is going to give a brand success over night! That's a result the 'boys & girls' (as you mentioned above) will promise.
