During the summer wildfires of 2017, thick smoke began seeping into our home. The valley air was stagnant for weeks. One day, struggling to breathe and gripped by a panic attack, I found myself clutching my air purifier for comfort. That was my breaking point. I packed up and drove to the coast, where the sun’s rose-gold reflection danced on the ocean waves. The sky was still hazy, but the ocean breeze was clean enough to breathe again.
When the smoke finally cleared, I set out on a mission: to find an air purifier that truly worked.
Fast forward to 2021, another brutal smoke season, layered on top of a global pandemic. By then, I tried five different air purifiers, but the results were still inconsistent. Then a friend introduced me to a technology used on the space station but rarely found in residential settings: Air & Surface Scrubbers.
