About Us

We provide a broad range of practice areas to address the practical needs of a full range of clients. We are building workshops and training in our educational areas, as well as writing content not only for our website but for other social media resources on common legal matters. When a client retains our firm, they retain a team of people with one lead while others contribute their expertise, so that clients get the best talent among us all.

How We Got Started

I have been been involved as a legal professional since the early 1990's. Training as a legal assistant, as well as in sociology, business and law, I have held many hats over the years. My current hat is managing partner of Invictus Legal LLP, formerly director of Browne & Associates Legal Services Professional Corporation. I started off a sole practitioner, but since 2012, have added staff or trainees, and grew to include more people, more services. We also are building strategic alliances among related businesses in the community, to ensure that knowledge of the law is accessible and developed as a tool to help you fulfil your goals.

Being a small law firm, we do not have anybody in house to handle this kind of stuff, but do appreciate that Glen is available to look into technical issues. He handles everything from the usual headaches for non-tech people, to more serious stuff like security."

All client work was done through ZOOM but we re-opened in early July, although we still give people a choice between ZOOM and in person, with all PPE in place.

Being in the service industry, it is key to meet (most) of our clients face to face to assist them.  While many may find us through Internet search, most want to meet with us at least a couple of times during the term of our retainer. I am in the Niagara Region.  If my customers are not doing well, we can't do well, so we have to work with people on an individualized basis.  If I am unable to assist, I refer to a network of resources they can use. I have many colleagues in the community I can turn to if I need to ask something.  I also have some close friends.  There are also professional business consultants I can connect with readily if I really need sound business advice.
