How did you get the skills necessary to run your business?

A great deal of education -2 Masters Degrees MBA, MIB (Masters in International Business) & Finance, Bachelors in Business, MGT, MKT and Accounting. Then, many management courses within corporations. However, It's not just the learning & education process. You then have to apply it to your business with real world experience. Life experience is the best teacher within the companies you work for and then in your own business. Always keep up with what is going on in your industry and the changes that are taking place, as well as any regulatory and compliance demands from governing legislation that can change the way you conduct business.

I hear you. Sometimes I get this kind of question: "how did you become so successful?". First I stop and think: "what do you mean? I'm really not a rich person". What they mean is reputation. Oh, that... There is no secret: it does require many, many years of formal education and then many, many years of applying that in a formal setting. So when you detach yourself either from a corporation, university of government job, you already have accumulated the "formal" part of your career.
