About Us

In the digital era, while print publications are being adversely affected, Paradise NEWS is growing in print as well as online. In just the past year it has grown 16 pages and 20% in readership in print alone. Readership of the issue online is also growing rapidly, now that our new mobile-freindly Wordpress revision of our 8-year-old website is up to speed.

How We Got Started

We moved to St. Pete Beach in 1987 with a publishing background and got recruited to produce a newsletter for the Pass-a-Grille Community Association. Eight years later with a partner, the first
issue of Paradise NEWS appeared as a 2-color newsletter for
St. Pete Beach. Twenty-five years later it is a multi-media company based on a full color glossy magazine.

We constantly strive to exceed expectations. We just put the finishing touches on the 249th issue of Paradise NEWS, and we have been reviewing the past 25 years in anticipation of our impending corporate anniversary. I can honestly say we have improved our product in some way every issue.  (more) We constantly strive to exceed expectations. Each month 20,000 get MAILED to EVERY ACTIVE ADDRESS in town. Another 10,000 are placed in 550 racks and stacks for those who do not get it in the mail, like visitors from far and near. We have been publishing Paradise NEWS for 25 years in print, and almost ten years online. With a 50/50 advertising to editorial ratio, our residents have grown to love the publication which offers them a comprehensive source of info on what's going on locally and regionally in a variety of areas, especially Arts, Entertainment and more. One of the services we provide for advertisers and readers is "advertorial" where we tell a new advertiser's story as their introductory advertisement, and follow that up with a small ad in future issues. This approach has been VERY effective for a variety of advertisers looking to reach current and future homeowners in our area. The purpose is generally either to make the phone ring, but we also introduce the company's web address or Facebook link so our readers can learn more online.  Clients who have ratings or reviews online are encouraged to have us include quotes or references found online, to encourage readers to visit them there. That essentially allows your past clients from other areas to provide referrals to people they do not even know in your new market.

We mail out copies of our magazine to prospective advertisers and follow up with a phone call, or emailed rate card and personalized greeting. We then often meet, sometimes for a meal to discuss the details.
