I too have clients who do not pay in a timely manner and I hate being a bill collector. There is something to be said for requiring a deposit prior to placing orders, so I have started to implement this arrangement. If the balance is not paid in time for me to cover the charges, then I request the balance due. We are all very busy and bills do slip the mind but 30 days outstanding debt is enough.
This has not happened to me, but it makes me irritated knowing there are people out there who think nothing of pulling these games on us. So I think the moral of the story is to get a contract signed. 50% is an awful lot considering we all work very hard. Reputations are priceless. If you feel...
