Neutrasafe Corporation manufactures condensate neutralizers and a system feeder for the HVAC industry. With more than 30 years of industry experience as a Master Plumber, Mike Bernasconi recognized an opportunity to design a condensate neutralizer superior to any other product available in the marketplace. In 2011, Mike and Dottie Bernasconi established Neutrasafe Corporation, which is currently located in Rockland, MA. Co-Owners Mike and Dottie say that all of Neutrasafe’s products are designed with the contractor in mind.

How We Got Started

Since the condensate neutralizers on the market were not what they could be, I decided that I could develop a better product. With $2,500 and a desire, I began making condensate neutralizers for the company for which I had been working.

Soon after I developed the new condensate neutralizer, a manufacturer’s representative in the area became interested and decided to add the line to their portfolio. With the support of my wife Dottie and a strong desire to succeed, we started MB Designs in 2011. Our sales throughout North America grew each year, and we gained recognition and new customers along the way. We decided to create a logo and a brand for our line of condensate neutralizers and that is how Neutrasafe got its name. We trademarked the name Neutra-Safe® and in 2012, changed our company name and incorporated the Neutrasafe Corporation.

How do you deal with a client who takes FOREVER to pay?

If you have set terms with your customers then you should expect payment to be made within  those terms. Asking your customers to execute what they agreed to is not being difficult. With that being said if you allow them to exceed the terms with no consequence then that is your fault. Just... With that being said if you allow them to exceed the terms with no consequence then that is your fault. Just because you are small does not mean you need to be weak. Be strong. You provide a product or service and should be paid.

Hi David, I am very fortunate to have great people in my life. My wife is also a 50/50 partner in our business and we have divided responsibilities and back each other 100%. My wife is also a 50/50 partner in our business and we have divided responsibilities and back each other 100%. Now that is not to say that we don't have some serious discussions when it comes to making decisions but we listen to each other and make good decisions. We also believe in keeping key employees in the loop of things because they matter and are a great part of our success. I also know that the reason we are successful and growing is because of relationships that were built over the years past. NEVER burn bridges if possible!
