Andrew, hard to answer your question. In short, no software is perfect and you have to find trade offs between functionality and ease of use. Typically, the easier the software to use, the less functions it has. In a small business arena, Intuit's QuickBooks set's a standard and dominates the market. It has cloud based QuickBooks Online version, which features monthly subscription and preferred by customers who are ok to trade off some of the functionality to mobility and simplicity. QuickBooks Desktop is a reliable software for all you need to run a small business. However, you typically need an experienced bookkeeper to run it if you would like to use all its capabilities.
