Thirty years ago I finally had the courage to leave an abusive marriage. I was a new teacher and would lie at work about what was really happening. I found myself alone with a four year old and no family to help me. I was too ashamed to tell anyone what had been happening, so my friends and colleagues could not help me. 😥
I was stuck for a long time.
AND THEN THINGS BEGAN TO CHANGE. 🌈
I took action to look after myself, mind, body and soul. I went within and began to find my true self. I found the resources and supports I needed.💃🧚‍♀️🧘‍♀️
I eventually became a Vice Principal and then Principal. A role I still love to this day
I have been on this journey ever since.
It has been incredible. ⚡️
Fast forward to today and I am living the best life ever. ✨
You would not recognize the Deborah from 1991. I live in my favourite home ever in a beautiful town. I have been with my husband Joe for 11 wonderful years. I am finacially secure. My life is fun. I am successful. I love myself. 💥
