They should get coverage in the individual and family markets. They are not technically part of a group for insurance purposes, since they do not have a common employer nor do they belong to a common organization such as a union or association. They are not technically part of a group for insurance purposes, since they do not have a common employer nor do they belong to a common organization such as a union or association. The argument could be made that if they work for the same employer, e.g. Lyft or Uber they should be able to get insurance as a group. However, Lyft and Uber does not consider them to be employees, but independent contractors. Once the courts or states determine their status then the companies should obtain the group policies and have the employees share the cost.

My reasons were to reduce my daily commute and build a business I can sell when it is time for retirement. The flexibility in managing my time was also a consideration and the ability to write off business expenses was another.

I would ask questions in an effort to find out the source of the burnout.
