What business that has closed do you miss the most from your hometown and why?

That's easy! Grumblers Restaurant & Tavern, Sudbury, Ontario. Every Thursday night was swing jive night and we had a blast! Friday & Saturday was disco. We danced up a storm and packed the place ever week. Then the owner became disassociated and turned over the management to a woman who was a right bitch. He had no idea how bad she was, she'd worked for him for 15 years and it never occurred to him she was causing problems. She was rude to people for no reason but the pleasure of having the right to do so. To get me barred she had someone pour bleach on the floor in front of me so I took an allergic attack and nearly died. When I complained she got me barred for life. She refused to serve men who dropped in after work for a quick drink if their girl friends or wives were not with them. She allowed smoking weed in the bathrooms and drug users in who frankly turned it into a stinking dive. Soon it became a losing proposition and instead of selling the business, it he retired and just closed down. The owner of the building leased to another junk food steak & rib, chicken wings, It got renovated into a boring drinkers joint with no dancing. Over hundred people like me still miss it. It was like a dazzling dance social club. People met and fell in love and got married there. Total strangers became best friends. There is not one place left in Northern Ontario like it. Like the 40's - swing dancing died out. All we have are drinking drunken bars. Sadly, we are left with only the wonderful memories of a by gone era of great times.
