I think it depends on a lot of factors I adopted a Cocker Spaniel and two weeks later they found a brain tumor. The first bill for meds and hospital was 5,000 I spent it even though I also have 9 other dogs who I have had since puppies. The treatment worked for two weeks then he declined the next cost for 10,000 was to remove the tumor he was 10 years old and the surgery alone could have killed him so I declined and he lived his best life and 5 days later he passed away.
