My Big Eye Collection is a series of paintings offering a retrospective look at memories, objects, and the people we encountered along our journey. Each painting offers a unique perspective on the past, whether it be through the color pallet, the subject matter, or the interaction of objects and expressions. My goal is to bring a sense of nostalgia and a reminder of our life experiences, both good and bad, allowing us to reflect on our growth and life changes.

Yet in completion, I find my paintings are not just a contemplation of the past but a reflection of the future. As I paint, I am reminded of the simplicity and innocence of the past, and how they contrast with the complex and ever-changing present. I can't help but see how many of the values and beliefs I held in my early years still shape my life today. While some of my paintings are a tribute to the past, they are also about the continuation of values and the ideas that will guide us into the future.

Over the past 35 years I have experimented with many techniques of painting and illustrating. I have written and illustrated children’s books, worked in graphic design, and continued to paint. In the last 5 years, since retiring, I have dedicated my time to painting and exhibiting.
