I was going to state something similar that Sofi stated regarding the attorney this victim contacted. It appears as though he has some sort of relationship with the perpetrator that he failed to inform the victim about. I could go on and on, because I had very SIMILAR problems for about 14 years regarding other aspects. (Without expounding on the details, I now have two cases in the U.S. Supreme Court for which Certiorari will be granted in 2019. Thankfully, this victim's issues will not last that long; I live in a horrible city in which malfeasance is the norm.) But anyway, this victim needs to contact other attorneys, and please continue doing so until you find one who will do something on your behalf.
