Normally in a negotiation, the first person to talk/give a number/etc loses. Let them offer you their deal and then counter with more for you.

I totally agree with Randy Zimmer. I was one of those new agents 25 years ago. Average price was around $150K and I paid the company around $25K that year. At least in my state it is too easy to go online, take 120 hours of classes/pass the test and your a Realtor. Schools don't do enough to...

At least in my state it is too easy to go online, take 120 hours of classes/pass the test and your a Realtor. Schools don't do enough to make sure people don't think it is "big/easy money" in our industry. If you are a Broker/Owner you better be able to read people quickly/easily or you will make bad hires.

The above statement is pure BS! There are agents/companies out there with the expressed intent to destroy what has been a standing industry for almost 130 years. False advertising/lying to consumers -- bate/switch listing. I don't see our industry existing in five years for an agent/broker providing the full service and expertise that they do today. One company here in Utah has "value coordinators" (not sure if they are licensed) doing their CMA reports. They have other non-licensed assistants filling out the MLS data information and in many many cases leaves out important info like the subdivision/# of garages/etc. Many companies are cutting BAC to compete and in the long run, the entire industry will suffer.
