One has to be brave to open a business in California, especially during a pandemic. The biggest challenge is a disconnected legislature who are proposing to add additional protected leave. One has to be brave to open a business in California, especially during a pandemic. The biggest challenge is a disconnected legislature who are proposing to add additional protected leave. This will severely impact small businesses at a time when they are struggling to survive with our Governor's flawed policy of open / partially closing the economy. COVID-19 is here for the foreseeable future, there is no silver bullet. My advise for would be entrepreneurs is tread very carefully and consider all options before fully committing to open a new business in California !

We never closed our business since we are considered an " essential business ". We did lay off 18 team members, most of whom are now back at work. We utilized the time to focus on our digital journey and to revamp our processes. Very recently we switched Web site providers to dramatically improve access speed on mobile devices. Because we doubled down during the first few months of COVID-19 we have built significant momentum. Our Service and Sales Departments have broken records for 4 months in a row.
Therefore, we feel blessed for the support from our clients and community.
Also, none of this would be possible without great team work and commitment from our people !

We did not apply for a PPP loan. Many Dealers and Automotive Groups have been able to achieve 80-85 % of their average monthly numbers with significantly fewer team members. This statistic does not bode well for less productive people with attitude " flaws ".

The team members still working have truly lifted their performance and efficiency because they value their positions more than ever.
Our primary concerns are reliability, efficiency and cost per $1,000.
Definitely need to have a clear understanding of the fees, no surprises.

I am a firm believer in providing local residents with exceptional service and value. This enables a business to justify asking the local community to keep the sales tax dollars in " town ". We need to re-invest the tax dollars in schools, roads and infrastructure improvements.
