Peer Support

1. Peer support: A basic belief in Independent Living is that people with disabilities, because of their disability-related experiences, are unequally qualified to assist their own peers. The center works to connect people with with each other so that they can learn from each other. This is accomplished through peer support groups, social and recreational activities and one-on-one matching.
