About Us

Actually, it’s about you. All the time. And you’ve got something to say.

However you want to say it to potential clients, write it in black and white, or four-color on glossy, or the ultimate in digital, I can help. I’ll make you shine like the sun.

Let’s tell your story. You’re the one for them—you’re who they need so they shine, too.

How We Got Started

Journalism launched my career trajectory of 20+ years of creative experience in writing, editing, presenting, teaching, marketing, and publishing. I’ll help you focus on clients while reaching more clients.

Your flyers, packets, web presence, ‘zines print or digital, will reflect your identity, products or services, and quality, whether you desire a traditional or cutting-edge profile in your industry.

I use everything in the toolbox:
-writing and research
-reporting
-editing
-strategy
-long- and short-term content planning and management
-conference materials and presentations
-crafting brand elements
-developing consistently attractive visual and style
-developing and revamping marketing campaigns
-writing fresh web content: articles, profiles, market projections, visuals, and podcasts (yes, podcasts are a good tool)

Let’s talk about you, your business, your ideas, and where you’re going.

I have also had the great good blessing to know Paul, and I have witnessed his honesty and integrity. He’s a great person to work with (albeit as someone trying to understand his inventions, which have received much higher praise than I can give), and a special person to know. "

Vaulting these challenges is why I’m here. Focused, creative, and appealing messages to the right audience via the right media on your budget is the base of any businesses’ expanding profile and bringing in the right clients and customers.  (more) Vaulting these challenges is why I’m here. I think that businesses who don’t know how to target their market are wasting their marketing muscle. Anyone can get your message, but businesses have to focus on reaching real potential clients.  (more) I think that businesses who don’t know how to target their market are wasting their marketing muscle. (more) My college textbook anthology, Villains, Victims, and Violets: Agency and Feminism in the Original Sherlock Holmes Canon, is surpassing all expectations (and is ready for preorder on Amazon et al.) thanks to what you’ve already heard from others here: hard work, strong connections, and marketing, which I and my coauthor Resa Haile put in at every step. Like most successful endeavors, the reward is more hard work.  The real question is, what do you want to get from it? A lot of money would be a long shot. Instant recognition would also be a long shot. Both of them are worth it if you put in the work. If you are ready to capitalize on the book that will be the product of your work and connections, there are a myriad of ways you can benefit. From Dear Abby and Dr Phil types of gurudom to simply getting eyeballs on your site and feet in doors—customers’ feet in yours and your feet in the doors you probably wouldn’t have had access to if you simply knocked—the list of possibilities is longer than the Chicago phone book.  So do yourself a favor: while you’re laying the framework for your bestseller, look around. A lot. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel or receive a PhD in astrophysics to accomplish what you want or to be published. You are hopefully working in an industry that is so compelling to you for what it offers that you want to share it with others. A book is a natural byproduct, a happy accident perhaps, that can open doors. By keeping your eyes sharp on the way, you may know which doors are worth opening.  Good luck!

I’m something of a know-it-all. Experienced, dogged journalism does that to a person. It has opened doors for me that you may not know are out there. And I can open them for you.  (more) I’m something of a know-it-all. Experienced, dogged journalism does that to a person. It has opened doors for me that you may not know are out there.
