If you didn't remember to record your 12/31-1/1 mileage, think back and get it recorded now before it's too late! Better yet, take a picture and attach to your first gas receipt in QuickBooks or print and save to your tax file!
Don't forget to keep an electronic or paper mileage log. You don't want to lose out on that great deduction if you were to get audited!

I will start. I am an Executive Broker at Weichert Realtors. I bought the land I grew up on from my parents back in 2011 and built my home here in 2021. Two of my grandchildren go to Rollins Elem, and I love living back on the land I grew up on.
I work with all areas in real estate but lately I have been working with Land owners to come up with the best profitability from their sale.
Did you know.... As a married couple you can make up to $500,000 on your property without paying capital gains tax of 15%? Rules are-you have lived their at least 2 years as your primary residence.
Also for investors, doing a 1031 exchange allows you to avoid those taxes as well if you reinvest the money you make on another investment property! There is a lot to it, but it isnt hard to accomplish.
