If you’re looking to increase your business ranking on search engines like Google or to better market your presence across top social media networks, you’ve come to the right place. Business listings in our online directories consistently rank within the Top-20 on Google when searching for a specific business; by keywords, product/service & location.
How We Got Started
As a nonprofit organization, our values are in social enterprise. One way we could do that is by keeping a focus on technology, and being first-adopters of it. We were coding websites in 1993 and have stayed on top of the latest advancements in order to roll out initiatives, services & programs that increase business exposure on social networks. Our directory was to have two effects: better promoting small businesses to potential customers looking for what they sell and, to create a consistent revenue stream for our organization to fund ourselves. Thanks to those who support our organization through listing their business, we are able to deliver effective services & programs for youth, low-income parents and those living in households with incomes under the national poverty level.

To grow a business, owners must be willing to take advantage of all legal opportunities available. One example I use is that many businesses who are offered an opportunity to join a trade & barter network turn it down. And while the caveat "buyer beware" should be extended to all business decisions, there are reputable networks that exist. A trade & barter network allows a business to save cash by trading off products or services each other need. Even as a nonprofit organization, we have had great opportunities to leverage our purchasing through our association with Midwest Barter Exchange. We offer listings for businesses in their network, and from those barter dollars we we use them for copies, gift certificates, catering in food or taking staff out to eat. Like any other opportunity, if it doesn't work for them in the first year; then leave the network, but I would suggest one not to dismiss the opportunity just because it seems foreign.
