My father and two sisters and his lady that cleans their homes help out. For the time being we are managing but if something health wise happens to my father. We are going to be need help really badly. Those works that help elderly and disabled or people with difficulties should be paid. Your skills and work are a value and most importantly your experience in that particular field... Now lets talk about discrimination. Yes. It will always be there. Age, your look. If a klingon walks into my office. 1st He may shock me and in my mind I may say. No way Im hiring him or her. That's why its up to youuuu. To show alll your skills, abilities, what you are amazing at. How hard you've worked for others in the past. Prove your worth to the employer. Show your resume. Once they know what you can do for them. They may not care how old your are 50 ++ or whatever. That's why you have to look professional in their eyes or they see and trust you can do the job you seek. . And keep applying don't stop at just one or two . There's thousands of elderly that need help Im sure. I hope this helped. Sorry about the long read.

When it comes to artistic items or items people dont buy every so often like soap or toilet paper lets say. 1st you have to be somewhere where lots of people can see your product. A good location. Is your location dead? ask yourself these important question.
Location sometimes is more important than just marketing depending on your item. Everyone can hop on line get a nick knack or soap from where every. But your unique pieces. People have to see and you have to give some history emotional background on it. Who made it? whats it made from? when was it made? just something so the buyer gets a little emotionally involved in the artistic item. Like Sofi said. Remember your not selling soup or a simple brink or an apple. When artistic talent is involved. Takes a little bit more. I know its hard. And dont give away your product thats makes the situation worse and business folds anyway. Hard times now. Over saturation, internet, amazon bla bla bla computer.... but people walking in and out of your shop will always be there because everyone gets bored on a Sunday afternoon and want to get some fresh air once in a while and take a nice walk instead of sitting in front of computer 24/7. Christmas time put some christmas music, or jazz or country or I have a small office. Some customers ask for singers they know. So I quickly slap on a song from youtube. (better than wonder bread. Who ever invented youtube) ;)... however I find early mornings. Before people had their coffee or tea. Keep the music very low or just off. After 11:00am then they are more away. LOL... hope that helped Sir.

Why should a consumer purchase and spend money for? The trick is trying to convince them to up-date or show something unique they may like thats different. Items have a shelf life. Oh that style is out of date or whatever. So then you may use spring sales or discounts for certain items. Clearance sales. If maybe you buy a pair of shoes you may get a discount on second pair or a third or half off. If people can somehow double their buying power they will easily be convinced to purchase second item. Especially if its an item or brand or style they love or like a lot. Many ways, techniques, tricks, Im sure to try to sell old stock. Use your brain. Best selling tool out there. :)
