I feel the same inflation effects as everyone else personally but I see my client's budgets being eaten up by what used to be the customary cost of doing business. While the pandemic has cost small businesses a lot in so many ways it has open the eyes of both business owners and consumers to the need for a digital presence and how to use the tools we have today. This is a growing and evolving situation that is nearly impossible for a small business owner to stay in front of. Unless you are a large organization it is doubtful that you or an employee can stay on top of developments and trends. It is my opinion and the reason that I opened ABS Local Mobile Marketing in 2000, that all small businesses should enlist the aid of a professional to manage their digital presence. This includes websites, social media, digital advertising, and search engine marketing.

I for one offer my clients a new service that gets the client's business listed in over 40 directors and information aggregators. It also lists them in the current voice search directories like Google, Alexa, Siri, etc. Search and search results are changing and soon because of artificial intelligence when you do a search you will only get 1 answer, not a map with three choices. Other than this keeping your google my business page updated and doing post there is not much to do except spend your advertising budget wisely. The local search service I mentioned only runs about $65 a month and I have seen every one of my client's digital view increase from as low as 35% to over 90% in less than 30 days.

I think the question of do they really work depends on the content, subject line, offer and call to action. Then factor into the equation your expectation level of response, reward and cost and you have an answer.

If in fact your care for your clients you then must have plan to take care of them when your gone or can't. I have one and anyone who doesn't really doesn't care for his clients or his family who will be left with the mess to clean up.
