We make amazing glass art! We create stained glass, fused glass, sandblast carved glass, and mosaic artwork. We work closely with our clients on custom work pieces as well as creating our own designs. We have been in business since 2001 and are looking forward to another 25 years of making quality art glass with a very distinctive style. Our eye for color truly brings a higher level of depth to our work. But of course, “the customer is always right in matters of taste”.
Long ago, and far away, I learned about the wonders of stained glass from my brother. After getting the opportunity to take a class, I discovered I was a natural. I am mostly self taught in stained glass and completely self taught in carving, fusing, and mosaics. Our name came about when I was painting a 5 headed dragon figure with stained glass wings I had designed, as a gift for my husband and was also thinking about starting a business to sell my glass art. As I was going through the colors of the dragon heads while I was painting I decided on blue because it was my favorite. Next I got a DBA and a business license and began selling my work. I started to receive commission work and eventually built a website. We moved from Los Angeles California to Birmingham Alabama in 2007. Since then Blue Dragon Glass was awarded a “Vulcans on Parade” statue which we covered with stained glass mosaics. It resides permanently at The Birmingham Zoo and is called “Indigenous Vulcan”.
