We are an ethnic chic fashion art boutique in New England, located in Turners Falls, Western Massachusetts. Our funky retail space is designed to consciously promote and sell fashion merchandise by ethnic designers from New York, Caribbean, Africa and other regions of the world.
How We Got Started
In the Fall of 2016, we launched Pop Up Shoppe in Turners Falls. Because we saw a niche to introduce Ethnic Fashion to the Pioneer Valley. The idea was to create a unique trendy designer collective boutique, unlike any in New England. Pop Up Shoppe ran from October to December.
Our intention was to keep cultivating Ethnic Chic Fashion in Turners Falls. Hence, we re-brand as Richie Richardson FAB and launched the Boutique in November, 2017.

As a designer, people see me as a style maven; someone who they can rely on to help them make informed fashion decisions. Even though, everyone has their own sense of style...that does not always translate to being trendy.
I see my role as helping people cultivate a sense of style that compliment them organically. Trends are keys indicators, which forecasts the future direction of fashion. They include; new silhouettes or shapes, colors, textiles etc.
Since trends are inspired by myriad sources, many in the fashion industry get their inspiration from the streets, runways and fashion magazines. Although it's important for designers, stylists and boutique owners to know what's trending, it is not a necessary requirement for every type of fashion business.

A designer, I believe it is important to understand the different aspects of the industry. Being fashion forward, requires having faith in your ability to design original clothing. You are either a creator of trends or you are just another follower. It takes time to explore and develop your own style, because your brand is more than a logo.
