We were flying to Chile from San Francisco and I gave a large tin of Toffee to our pilot. He said in 30 years of being a pilot no one had ever given him a gift. Later during the flight he gave us a flight path map of our Journey. A couple sitting next to us bought two large tins to give to family when they arrived at their destination. I received a thank you note from the pilot that his daughters used the empty tin to store their Barbie accessories in. We always give the crew of all the flights we take when we travel. One time the pilot announced over the loud speaker on the plane how much they loved my Toffee. I had some bulk so we shared it with the passengers. I love doing random acts of kindness. 💗

In 27 years in business I have only had one customer who did not pay. I reconnected with someone I worked with at Elizabeth Arden on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in the 70’s as a Face Treatment specialist. She wanted to try my Toffee so I sent her a tin as a gift. She ordered 2 more large tins...

I reconnected with someone I worked with at Elizabeth Arden on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in the 70’s as a Face Treatment specialist. She wanted to try my Toffee so I sent her a tin as a gift. She ordered 2 more large tins and never paid me. She kept saying she would, but never did, so I quit communicating with her on social media. It is what it is. I have had orders from all over the USA for years from people I never met and at the time I only accepted personal checks. I always got paid. PayPal works great. They charge less than credit card companies do. I still accept personal checks🙏

My name is Joan. I started my business using my mother's English Toffee receipe. I have been in business 26 years. My father built my commercial kitchen where only English Toffee is prepared and it is Gluten Free. My dear friend Robert A. Hacker, Attorney at Law said, I was the Toffee Queen so my website is Toffeequeen.com. My husband, Doug is the Vice President and helps me with the manufacturing process. We raised 6 children together. His, mine and ours. When we got married his oldest daughter was 8 and we had a child together the first year of our marriage. I needed a home based business so I was available to raise our children while my husband worked as a Registered nurse in the operating room and was on call, a lot. It has been successful and quite the Journey. As a result of our Journey, we produced a Costco order in the 90's for $126,600.00 for a Costco buyer in San Diego. It was delivered on time to Costco and they loved it. They promised to order $1,000,000.00 a year. I learned some valuable lessons from that experience. The Journey continues and I have learned a great deal. I became a paralegal, which helped give me more legal knowledge and I have continued to use that knowledge for the last 18 years.
