What's the hardest part of running your business?
Answered by:
Competing with other companies that have established themselves in the region. Despite the fact that I offer a considerably better rate than theirs; I provide the same quality of product and service as the competitors. Also, there are criteria that is required by tender level projects that I simply cannot meet because I am independant with no employees.

I love your reply. I think we all have competitors - so that's a norm regardless, right? I love independents because independents are more creative and have the ability to move forward quickly and create solutions seamlessly. Since that is your strength as an independent, marketing that may be helpful. One of the lessons I learned from my time is sales is that we always have to be aware of our customer and make adjustments. Are there potential customers out there that are not looking for companies like you that have a roster of employees? Those may be the ones you need to focus on. Hope this helps.
