About Us

Hello everyone. I am from the small coastal town of Destin, Florida. I have resided in both Saddle River and now Upper Saddle River since I relocated here in 2007. The essence of my Southern charm resonates overwhelmingly with everyone that I meet. I believe hard work pays off and that we need to help support small business. I am down to earth and have always had a passion for helping others.

I studied Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising at Bauder College in Arlington, Texas where I earned an Associates Degree. I have a vast background in sales and management. I also spent time working in the travel and tour industry and I spent over 10 years in the food industry working as a Food Broker.

How We Got Started

In 2015 I started a personal concierge service and I am very proud of the individuals and families that I was able to help. Unfortunately, on April 4th, Covid-19 shut my business down. Due to personal reason's I was not able to continue with my business.

I always loved my work as a food broker and I've loved cooking all my life so joining Tastefully Simple as an independent food consultant was a natural transition for me. I became a customer back in January before becoming a consultant in May after using the products. They are top quality, limited ingredient products with over 40 gluten-free products.

(more) Hi Scott.  I too am a small company.  I use Quick Books self-employed as my accounting system and I have experienced this problem as well.  My invoices are due the following week after my services are rendered.  If they don't pay by the due date I will give them a couple of days then I will resend the invoice and put a note at the bottom saying they are so many days behind and ask them to please pay promptly.  If they don't pay within 2 weeks time, I send them an email explaining that I will have to charge late fees if not paid by a certain date.  That will usually prod them to pay.  Since you are providing a service are you asking for a deposit?  If not I would definitely implement that.  At least 20%. If you know up front what the cost is you could require them to pre-pay.  For instance, I offer a "Home Away" service and I charge $30 a day.  If they are gone for 5 days, I require that they pay in full up front.  I hope this helps.

I think tapping into a persons passion is instrumental in gauging their personality and drive.  If they are passionate they will flourish.  It also depends on the work environment.  Someone who is more creative will most likely not do well in a stuffy cubical.   (more) I think tapping into a persons passion is instrumental in gauging their personality and drive.  If they are passionate they will flourish.  It also depends on the work environment.  Someone who is more creative will most likely not do well in a stuffy cubical.
