A local boutique wants to sell my clothing from my online boutique on consignment. She says she usually does a 60/40 split. I think that's high but I don't know the usual split for consignments. Any advice?

Is she a resale shop? Here in Michigan resale splits the selling price 50/50

If she is selling new things, I would price my goods at a wholesale price and let her purchase and mark it up as she wishes.  If you sell on consignment, the product is yours in the end. When unsold goods come back, they may be in “tried on”condition. This is something to think about.  I hate to say this but the public is not careful with the products they are trying on.

I own bridal shop, I have to purchase dresses as my samples, mark them up for sale  and they belong to me to do whatever I want.
