Minority owned businesses don’t have any other issues that non-minority owned businesses have. We all have the same issues.

We are all in this together. For real. Minority owned businesses don't always have as much access to capital and other resources as non-minority businesses, yet both are hurting right now. There is a difference, yet the reality is, this pandemic will be with us for a while according to experts, and being hit that long for that hard can affect anyone. At the end of the day, we are all human and navigating life the best we can (minority and non-minority alike). There are some differences. Research and years of life and experience have proven that, yet we are all human navigating a world crisis too. My heart is with our world right now. All of it.

Everyone has the same access to loans or resources IF their credit and debt ratio is acceptable!!

Very disappointed to hear how little many people know about the barriers that people of color and other minority groups face. How anyone can look at the news and not see how divided our communities have become is beyond me. And all of this sits on top of the historical barriers put in place to maintain segregation, with many of these practices (such as in getting business loans) still in place. This cannot be a very helpful networking platform if people continue to negate the reality of a large chunk of the members on Alignable.
