Angela Speck, Allied ASID Interior Designer along the Treasure Coast. I design and remodel homes, creating a beautiful Florida decor for you and your clients within your budget. I also specialize in remodeling homes to accommodate a range of physical needs, enabling you and your clients to stay in your homes well after retirement. My contractors and I are highly skilled and reliable. If you are moving, I will stage your current home or office, helping it to sell faster with a higher income. Although I work primarily along the Treasure Coast, I will discuss travel accommodations to meet your needs. As an interior design business, we help our clients prepare for the holidays and years to come by considering how their business decor looks and functions (from their clients' perspective). Could it look cleaner, neater, up-to-date. Do the colors, furniture and carpet look professional? Does the exterior of the business need a paint job? Yard work? Together we decide on the improvements needed to bring in business and add to their own joy. This is a perfect time to spruce up and decorate for holidays.

We are busy with clients moving into Florida. We help them select which of their current furniture and accessories to move into their new Florida home, saving $thousands on moving costs. We meet the moving van upon arrival, placing furniture as it is taken off the truck. After the move, we help clients hang art, select new furniture, rugs, flooring, window treatments and more. When clients decide to paint (even prior to the move), we help select paint colors and painters as well as other quality contractors for all projects, and we oversee the projects. We want our clients to love the looks and function of their new home (and office).

I agree that we are and will follow CDC guidelines. Meanwhile, we have used Zoom and Facetime more often. It works well.

As an interior designer, I adjusted how I work with homeowners, business owners and subcontractors. I have many more phone, Zoom and online conversations. With subcontractors, instead of having several subcontractors onsite simultaneously, I will have one. Or, I will request that each...

As an interior designer, I adjusted how I work with homeowners, business owners and subcontractors. I have many more phone, Zoom and online conversations. With subcontractors, instead of having several subcontractors onsite simultaneously, I will have one. Or, I will request that each subcontractor works in a different area or room at a time. Since my subcontractors are reliable, I am able to complete my projects on time or even ahead of schedule. If there is an opening in my schedule, I take on projects, such a upholstering cushions and more. It all works out well.

My clients reap the benefit of buying products that will last far beyond the 3 years of a "cheap" product. The long lasting products I sell--window treatments, flooring/carpeting, paint and more--bring my clients joy for years to come at a price they can afford. When they are satisfied, I am satisfied.

Adversities are a part of life. I see them as mistakes to learn from. I think of my goal and the joy that design often brings me and move on. If I feel miserable, I read The Course and I pray, which helps me understand that it's my ego that makes me feel miserable. When needed, I tell employees and subcontractors what is expected and have them remedy the situation. I make certain they do. Sometimes I apologize. Usually I keep smiling and realize that time and trying to do the right thing helps and tomorrow is a new day. When all else fails, I decide not to continue working with toxic people by telling them they may find another designer can better meet their goals. C'est la vie!
Both. I listen to my clients likes, then with knowledge of what is current in colors, fabrics, furniture and more, I share with my clients how to update their style. In this way, they can have a fresh, appealing look to their home, as a breath of fresh air.

What I love doing with my clients is selecting a beautiful, unique colors from their art, fabric or rug to use on their walls or in accents for pillows, drapes and rugs. It is satisfying to have beautiful colors in their home which uniquely belong to them and their style and taste.
