Confident Core Fitness
I am passionate about teaching people to connect with their bodies and to move without pain and have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including low back pain, incontinence, scoliosis, osteoporosis, neurological conditions and neck & shoulder pain.
Getting older doesn't mean resigning yourself to poor physical and mental health. I've learned that the more knowledgable and active you are, the better life gets. I am fortunate to be able to teach people of all ages to maintain their bodies using movement, health and awareness to transform their lives from the inside out.
I was first introduced to Pilates in 2001 and love its emphasis on conscious movement & breathing techniques which trains the mind to be more in tune with the body to prevent strains & injury. Pilates has allowed me and my clients to increase our potential for movement. However there are certain facts that cannot be ignored and one of them became uncomfortably clear to me on a family vacation in 2012: I laughed, I leaked & I freaked. But before I resorted to winged pads, incontinence undergarments or surgery I did some research; pelvic floor health is not so much an aging issue as a fitness issue. Over years of continuing education courses and professional certifications specific to pelvic health issues, I have been able to help clients reduce chronic pain, increase their overall feeling of wellness and resolve issues such as incontinence.
