The Nulla Project is Victoria's first reusable cup and container program.

We currently provide a reusable returnable cup and container service to coffee shops, eateries and retailers in Victoria, Brentwood Bay, Southern Gulf Islands and Tofino.

Our service gives customers an easy, convenient and affordable alternative to single-use cups and containers while preserving and improving the to-go culture. At the counter of our partners, customers get a cup or container for a $5 deposit. A full refund is offered to customers when cups and containers are returned. Participating establishments clean and sanitize items in their dishwashers and recirculate them.

We also offer a reusable glass service for beer gardens at festivals, events and markets. The deposit for Nulla glasses is only $2.

The Nulla Project was founded by two cousins in 2019 after they completed an entrepreneurial incubator program offered by Synergy Enterprise in Victoria. The program was called Project Zero and focused on developing the circular economy on Vancouver Island.
